I am by no means an athlete, but I thought it'd be good to try and raise some money for charity this year for some causes important to me!
I'll be completing these with my amazing girlfriend, Yasmin, who puts up with me during all the training for these events and will also be fundraising for the charities close to her.

A Half Marathon Hike for Cancer Research UK

I'll be taking part of Cancer Research UK's Big Hike in June this year with Yasmin. It's a half marathon, which will be quite challenging for us given we usually stick to short dog walks, or longer (~10K) hikes with a nice pub lunch along the way.
Cancer Research is a great cause to support as well. Having lost my uncle and great uncle to cancer, and Yasmin having lost her mother to it as well, it is something very important to us, and any way we can help, the better.
The Route
A half marathon hike around the Jurassic coast. Starting at Corfe Castle, then heading along Purbeck way, through Corfe Common, and then back to Corfe Castle.
457m of elevation gain, over 21km.
